Registration


Team Formation & Coaching

  • Q: Who coaches the teams?
    A: All team coaches are volunteers.

  • Q: How many coaches are assigned to each team?
    A: Each team has one official coach.

  • Q: Can I request for my child to be placed on a specific team?
    A: Unfortunately, no. While we understand the desire to make specific requests, we try to allocate players to teams in a way that keeps an even competitive balance between teams.

  • Q: How will I be notified about my player’s team placement?
    A: Warwick Soccer Club uses TeamSnap to communicate team assignments and updates. TeamSnap Getting Started Guide

  • Q: How will the player’s coach communicate to the team?
    A: Through TeamSnap.

Practices

  • Q: How often do recreational teams practice each week?
    A: Teams practice once a week.

  • Q: How long are practices?
    A:
    • Age groups 4 & 5 are 45 minutes
    • All other age groups are 1 hour

  • Q: When and where are practices held?
    A: Weekly practice date and time will be decided on and communicated by the coach. Coaches will have to share field spaces with other recreational and travel teams.

  • Q: Can teams practice together?
    A: Yes! While it’s not required, practicing with another team is a great way to build skills and teamwork. Warwick Soccer Club supports this by sharing coach contact information so teams can coordinate practices at the same time and location.

  • Q: Are there any additional training opportunities?
    A: Absolutely! Warwick offers extra training sessions on Monday nights in partnership with Forward Soccer Club at the Warwick Town Park.
    • 5:30-6:30pm 4-6 years old
    • 6:30-7:30pm 7-13 years old

Games

  • Q: When are games held?
    A: Games take place on Saturday mornings between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
    • Age 5 Mixed – 9am-10am
    • Age 4 Mixed – 10am-11am
    • Game times for all other ages will be determined by the number of teams

  • Q: How long are games?
    A:
    • Ages 4 & 5: Players participate in a 30-minute practice session with Forward Soccer, followed by a 30-minute game.
    • All other age groups: Games are 1 hour long.

  • Q: How many games are there in a season?
    A: Each season includes 8 scheduled games.

Equipment

  • Q: What should players bring to games and practices?
    A: Players should bring cleats, shin guards, a soccer ball, and a water bottle.

  • Q: What size soccer ball is needed?
    A:
    • Ages 4–7: Size 3
    • Ages 8–13: Size 4
    • Ages 14 and up: Size 5
